Yum.
I love soup on a cold day.
Tonight it was chicken noodle.
Thick hearty chicken noodle soup with homemade whole wheat bread and butter.
It was so delicious.
I had a healthy day. No treats. I'm proud of myself.

Rob and Sam had tacos for dinner, but I too felt like soup. SO...I heated up some homemade Pea Soup that I made yesterday for myself.
ReplyDeleteNo treats here today either! And I am even not making a birthday cake for myself for tomorrow! I am taking an ice cream cone, putting a candle on it, and then blowing that out instead. No left over cake to tempt me, and easier for portion control.

ReplyDeleteOOOo, good idea about the ice cream cone!! I love tips like that! Last week, we cooked portobello mushrooms on a lava rock topped with feta cheese and dipped in balsamic vinegar/olive oil. It was not only delicious, but easy and healthy. Did you know that portobello mushrooms have over 100% of your daily Vitamin D? Yup. I did not buy a bag of candy this weekend. That was a big step for me. But, then Shaune made the most divine chocolate chip cookies EVER. Rrrrr...not enough will power there.
